Memorial Chair: $300/plaque

Memoria Chain

Purchase a lifetime remembrance of someone special in your life. Show your proud community support of your business for The Crighton Theatre or simply support the Crighton Theatre through the purchase of a "Chair". Theatre is expensive business and needs your help. The Crighton Theatre Foundation is a 501-C-3 non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible. Be a part of something that will be heard tomorrow with your help. For less than a dollar a day commitment for one year, you can help provide a permanent fund for maintaining "The Crown Jewel of Montgomery County".

Walk of Stars: $1000-$10,000

The Walk of Stars is another way of contributing to the Crighton Theatre Foundation. Over 75% of the cost will go directly to the Crighton Theatre Maintenance Fund. An 18 inch x 18 inch black granite monument will be inscribed with your name or company name as a permanent reminder to all of your support of the Crighton Theatre and the arts in general. Placed in the sidewalks surrounding the Crighton Theatre, your gift and generosity will be seen and appreciated by all. Thank you for your help.

Planned Giving

Do you have a will? If you answered "yes", then congratulations. You are ahead of many people who do not. Now you are set for the rest of your life, right? Not necessarily. Preparing and signing a will is only the first step toward ensuring your wishes are carried out after you are gone. Planned Giving is one f many ways to ensure your wishes.

There are multiple planned giving routes to explore, depending on your family’s financial objectives and your inclinations to support missions like ours. There are more than a dozen possible courses of action as you investigate planned giving.

In some instances, planned gifts can be revocable, such as a charitable bequest in your will. You can change your mind at any time, using the revocable gift approach.

Other gifts may be irrevocable, so you can benefit from an immediate income tax deduction. The attraction of many irrevocable planned gifts is that they are deferred. You part with the asset today, but the actual transfer of the asset to us or back to your family or heirs is postponed for a period of time—often until after your lifetime (and that of a surviving beneficiary if you so designate).

A good example of an irrevocable gift arrangement would be a charitable remainder trust. You receive lifetime income from the asset after it is placed in trust; then we receive the remainder of the trust after your death.

The key to planned giving is to identify the right giving approach that not only provides benefits for you for your donation, but also benefits us, now or at a later date.

As always with any financial matter, consult with your financial advisor first.
